Melbourne Polytechnic’s hands-on horticulture courses focus on practical industry knowledge.

Our purpose-built horticulture facilities provide students with real-to-life situations to develop their skills. You’ll learn about garden design and landscaping, revegetation, tree health and assessment, irrigation and soil and plant nutrition.

Our courses are comprehensive in developing skills in retail nursery management, turf management, plant identification, plant propagation, nutrition and health. Our students have an enduring association with the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Each year Melbourne Polytechnic wins many of the major competitions for garden design and achievable gardens.
