If you recognise the importance of Education in the lives of young people and you're interested in Education Support Work then our teaching degree qualifications would benefit you.

What does Education give a person? Education instills critical thinking, knowledge and the ability to decipher the world around us for yourself. Education is not learning a series of facts, rather is it about cultivating the love of learning and nuturing skills such as problem-solving, reading, lateral thinking and interpersonal skills to apply within different contexts.

We offer three courses, Education, Tertiary and Education Support. Below is an outline of each so you can decide which one would suit you.

Education (Early Years)

  • Love working with children?
  • Become qualified to work as an Early Years specialist (birth – 8 years)
  • This qualification allows you to work in primary schools as well as kindergartens

Certificate I in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy
Our Certificate I in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy will help develop your literacy, numeracy and communication skills for the workplace. This training will improve your interpersonal skills and increase your self-esteem and confidence.

Certificate I in Transition Education - Work Education Department
The Certificate I in Transition Education will help you gain confidence and skills to make decisions about your future. If you like practical tasks and hands-on learning, you’ll love the opportunity to participate in voluntary work and community activities.

Certificate II in Food Processing - Work Education
Studying a Certificate II in Food Processing will help you secure employment in food production or a kitchen.

Certificate III in Business Administration (Education)
The Certificate III in Business Administration (Education) will help you provide administrative support to educational practitioners. This is an entry level program that will develop and broaden your business administration skills within the education sector.

Certificate III in EAL (Employment)
Do you need to improve your English to find a job? This is the course for you. You will learn intermediate language skills while building skills in a range of job areas.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
This course is designed to develop your understanding of issues relevant to the children’s services sector and to enhance your practical skills needed to deliver high quality care and education to young children. You will learn first aid, how to care for babies and toddlers and how to support holistic development of children.

Certificate III in Education Support
This course provides you with comprehensive and high quality training if you would like to work with students with special needs. It is specifically designed for people who would like to work in schools assisting the teacher by providing extra literacy and numeracy support to students in the classroom.

Certificate III in General Education for Adults (CGEA)
Did you leave school early, but you want to improve your literacy, maths and general education skills? Get the skills you need for employment and further study with the Certificate III in General Education for Adults (CGEA).

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care provides students with the skills and knowledge to plan and operate educational programs for children based upon their skills and interests.

Diploma of Tertiary Studies - Higher Education

Develop your academic writing and research skills in a supportive environment with our Diploma of Tertiary Studies, a course specifically designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in higher education studies, setting you on the pathway towards gaining a bachelor degree.

Associate Degree of Early Years Studies
Are you inspired to work with young children? Would you like to work as an educator (room leader) in a long day care setting or as a co-educator (assistant) in a kindergarten? If so, our Associate Degree of Early Years Studies is ideal for you.

Bachelor of Education (Early Years)
The Bachelor of Education provides you the expert pedagogical knowledge and classroom practice to succeed as an educator in the early childhood and primary setting.

VCAL EAL YAMEC
Get the skills you need for a career. This course is for 15 to 26 year olds who are new to Australia and come from a non-English speaking background. If you have had a disrupted education but can speak and write English, this course is for you.

Course in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy
Melbourne Polytechnic's Course in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy is a program designed to improve skills in reading, writing, numeracy, listening and oral communication based on your needs and interests to increase independence and active participation in the community.
