Julio Gamboa has travelled far from Venuezuela and landed at Melbourne Polytechnic to study and improve his English. Unexpectedly for Julio, he has fallen in love with Australia so much so that he plans to apply for Permanent Residency.
A systems analyst in his native country, Julio wanted to expand his career options with improved English language skills and plans to do a Bachelor of Information Technology when he completes his ELICOS course. He finds the teachers at Melbourne Polytechnic extremely helpful and patient, and he feels all teaching staff make the students motivated to learn.
Julio says “The facilities are very comfortable, with many amenities, programs and activities to keep you busy, and it’s great to have the pleasant people like the guys from SLAM (Student Life and Media) around campus to make things fun”. He also says “I recommend studying here because you will have an unforgettable experience and make friends for life”.
Julio is passionate about football and is a great player himself. When he isn’t kicking a ball around and polishing his English skills, Julio enjoys the trickery of magic using playing cards and illusion.
