Melbourne Polytechnic's Restricted Electrical Worker's Licence entitles you to carry out low voltage electrical installation work relating to equipment that is connected to a fixed electrical installation, associated with your primary trade, vocation or calling (occupation) and would otherwise require the services of a registered electrical contractor or a licensed electrician.
If you are planning to apply for a Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence, you must be competent in a relevant field where the disconnection and reconnection work to be carried out is a significant function of your job. This licence is purely for the disconnection/reconnection of like for like equipment, for the purposes of repair, replacement and maintenance.
The unit UEENEEP101A Apply Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Codes and Practices in the Workplace will be covered during the course.
