Melbourne Polytechnic's short Course in Basic Earthmoving course provides the opportunity to gain basic skills and knowledge in operating earthmoving equipment. The course also teaches safety, government standards and regulations relating to the operation of these machines. Did the earth move for you? Students enrolling in this short course will attain the nationally recognised unit of competency AHCMOM310A Operate Land-forming Machinery and Equipment. If the earth doesn’t move for you, you will certainly learn to move the earth.
This course provides opportunity for students to gain basic skills and knowledge to operate earthmoving equipment such as an excavator, backhoe, loader or skid steer. Learn about safety, government standards and regulations relating to the operation of these machines.
Gain skills in the safe operation of:
- earthmoving excavators
- skid steer loaders
- front-end loaders
Note: Students will attain unit of competency AHCMOM310A Operate Land-forming Machinery and Equipment, on successful completion of this course.
Additionally: This unit of competency will also be offered within the Certificate III in Agriculture.
