Auslan Pre-intermediate Bridging Course

Melbourne Polytechnic Auslan 3 Bridging Course is designed to deliver Auslan skills to those previously enrolled into and/or completed a Certificate III and who need to consolidate and/or refresh their skills prior to enrolling into the Certificate IV

The course will increase Melbourne Polytechnic’s engagement with Auslan students both in metropolitan and regional areas. It is also designed as a bridging program to re-engage learners with Auslan with a view to pathway them into the accredited program and ultimately into an interpreting program.

Course Outcomes

  • This course will provide students with foundational Auslan skills and reintroduce returning students to the language and/or develop and build on existing skills. It will give students the confidence and skills to engage successfully in Certificate IV of Auslan.

  • It will appeal to former Auslan students and mature aged learners who are seeking to engage with Auslan in fun and relaxed learning environment
