Our art and design department offers short courses including children book illustration and screen printing.

We offer pathways for you to further your studies. Courses are designed to complement each other and allow you to gain deeper knowledge and higher qualifications in your chosen field.

Children's Book Illustration - Introduction
Children's books have entertained readers for centuries. This course explores the art of creating images for different types of children's picture books by exploring basic drawing techniques, page composition and storytelling through pictures.

Introduction to Screen Printed T-Shirts and Bags
Melbourne Polytechnic's Introduction to Screen Printed T-shirts and Bags is a three-week short course designed to develop basic techniques to allow students to create their own stencils for use on T-shirts or bags.

Children's Book Illustration - Intermediate
Learn to create beautiful, illustrated worlds in this intermediate short course. Creative participants will learn to illustrate books for children.
