Once you are ready to enrol, you will be invited to attend our Skills and Job Centre, or come to campus to complete your enrolment in person.

LOCAL REQUIREMENTS

You must have access to a computer or laptop with a camera, headset and internet connection.

Students can apply for this course if they completed a previous qualification in Certificate IV in Accounting (FNS40615), Certificate IV in Bookkeeping FNS40215*, Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (FNS40222), or have completed the following seven (7) pre-requisite units:

  • FNSACC311 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
  • FNSACC312 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
  • FNSACC408 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry
  • FNSACC416 Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
  • FNSTPB401 Complete business activity and instalment activity statements
  • FNSTPB402 Establish and maintain payroll systems
  • BSBFIA401 Prepare financial reports

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping graduates must have completed unit FNSACC311 Process Financial Transactions and extract interim reports

The preferred pathway for entry to this qualification is the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping FNS40222. For additional information, we encourage you to attend one of our Information Sessions.

You must bring a copy of your statement of attainment, to be approved by Lead teacher or Program lead

INTERNATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Academic: Australian Year 12 equivalency
English: Academic IELTS 5.5 with no individual band below 5.0, Pearson PTE Academic 42 overall with no individual communicative skill below 36, or Melbourne Polytechnic recognised equivalency.
Other:Full-time only for International Students.

Completion of the below seven units from the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping FNS402222 or evidence of equivalent competency through recognition of prior learning (RPL).
  • FNSACC311 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
  • FNSACC312 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
  • FNSACC408 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry
  • FNSACC416 Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
  • FNSTPB401 Complete business activity and instalment activity statements
  • FNSTPB402 Establish and maintain payroll systems
  • BSBFIA401 Prepare financial reports
