Shirley Wong is a lecturer in the Department of Higher Education – Business where she teaches various accounting and business subjects. Shirley has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Deakin University Australia, Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University U.S.A and Certificate in Education from the Hong Kong Technical Teachers’ College.
In addition to her academic qualifications, Shirley is also a qualified member of CPA Australia.
Her research interests cover accounting, finance, auditing, education, ethics and sustainability. She has published in peer reviewed international journals such as International Journal of Business and Management Studies, European Journal of Management and International Journal of Business Research. Shirley has also presented research papers at international conferences in Amsterdam and Paris including the Association for Business and Economics Research and International Journal of Arts and Sciences (IJAS).
Prior to joining Melbourne Polytechnic, Shirley was a lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Victoria University and consultant for business and accounting advice of a private firm.
