Irene Comer began her teaching career as a high school teacher in Victorian secondary schools. She has been an ESL/EFL teacher here for many years, initially working with recently arrived migrants.
She now has over 15 years experience teaching International students in the ELICOS programme. She loves her job and is particularly interested in using technology in the classroom and enjoys creating interesting and relevant classroom resources. Irene also has extensive knowledge and experience in IELTS testing procedure and practice.
On eight occasions she has taught English in China in our Offshore English programme. Like most language teachers, she loves learning about other cultures and languages and has and has travelled widely in China, other parts of Asia, Europe and North Africa.
Away from the classroom Irene loves fabric, and sewing her own clothes. She is also a keen cyclist and gardener.
