Dr Kabossa Msimangira is currently Business Discipline Leader and Senior Lecturer of Business. He earned his PhD (Supply Chain Management) from Auckland University of Technology, an MBA (Operations and Materials Management) from the University of Arizona on Fulbright Scholarship and a BA (Hons) (Production and Marketing Management) from the University of Dar es Salaam.
In addition, he is a certified Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (FCIPS) U.K. and Australia, and a member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) U.S.A.
Dr Msimangira has been active in training, consultancy and research in the areas of management, procurement, logistics management, operations management, and supply chain management. He has published articles in peer review journals, including Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Purchasing and Materials Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management: An International Journal and the International Journal of Public Sector Management. Dr Msimangira has also presented research papers at local and international conferences: Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) and the Asian Business and Management (ABM).
Prior to joining Melbourne Polytechnic, Dr Msimangira was a senior lecturer at the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, technical advisor in purchasing and supply for the United Nations and lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam.
