Caroline Kennedy is an artist with a practice across songwriting, music performance and visual art. She has released multiple albums, written over one hundred songs and been nominated for multiple awards including four ARIA awards, the Siemens Fine Art Award, and the Australian Postgraduate Award.
Caroline has toured nationally and internationally with her bands the Plums and Deadstar, performed on multiple television shows and festivals including the Big Day Out and Meredith Festival and continues to write, play and release music regularly. Her songs remain on rotation on mainstream radio stations across Australia. Her recent musical collaboration with Mick Turner band was featured on the New York Times music website, Press Play, in 2013.
Since 2014, Caroline performs under the name Caroline No. The first Caroline No album, No Language, was recorded on an iPhone and released on cassette through World News Records in 2014. No Language is to be reissued on vinyl through US label, Students Of Decay, in 2017. Caroline Kennedy’s doctoral research examines post-capitalist art and music making.
