Hold your next solo or group show at one of Melbourne Polytechnic’s fantastic Prahran galleries.
Catering for large and small exhibitions, our spaces provide a unique venue for emerging and established artists – all within a stone’s throw of popular Chapel St.
Situated on the second floor overlooking the Melbourne Polytechnic campus, gallery one offers over 130m of hanging space, making it ideal for large solo or group exhibitions. Imbued with a modern, warehouse feel, the space is the perfect mix of blank canvas and industrial setting. Features include adjustable track lighting and custom hanging as well as disability access and fully equipped kitchen for self-catering your event. For the convenience of your guests, a separate tea and coffee-making area is situated within the gallery space itself. Catering through the Melbourne Polytechnic restaurant is available on request.
Adjacent to the main gallery is an area equipped with stylish couches and up-to-the-minute audio-visual equipment. With floor to ceiling glass looking onto the main gallery space, it’s ideal for video installations, individual works, or as a retreat and sitting area for your guests.
With a compact 35m of hanging space, our smaller gallery is perfect for emerging artists seeking an intimate space for solo exhibitions or events. Boasting simple white walls and beautiful high ceilings it provides a contemporary backdrop for works in all mediums. The gallery is situated on the ground floor of the Melbourne Polytechnic campus, only steps from lively Chapel St. Standard features include disability access, adjustable spotlights and custom hanging.
