Congratulations to Jyothi Forman, one of Melbourne Polytechnic’s Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture graduates, who blitzed her international competition in the 43rd WorldSkills Competition in Brazil last week.
Going up against competitors from 59 countries, Jyothi kept her cool and is bringing home the silver in the Jewellery category.
Jyothi, an apprentice at Georgies Fine Jewellery in Narooma, New South Wales, has demonstrated consistent excellence in the Worldskills journey, winning gold in the regional competition in 2013, then gold again in the national finals in 2014, which placed her in the 2015 Skills Squad.
If you’re interested in being involved in Worldskills, check out the Worldskills Australia website.
