About the role

NMIT is seeking to appoint an innovative, qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Statistics Officer. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with excellent subject knowledge.
Your primary objectives will be:
Contribute to the delivery of the institute’s core internal and external surveys, including administration, data collection, statistical analysis and in-depth reporting of the various survey results together with other key relevant data required to provide critical management information and to comply with external agency requirements and deadlines. 

About You

The successful applicant will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with:

  • A relevant degree with a quantitative component and subsequent relevant experience or significant experience working with surveys and/or statistical data collections in a large organization.
  • High level of computer literacy including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with experience in using complex formulas and macros and proficiency in other Microsoft Office products; database management skills and experience in statistical analysis software also advantageous.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to ethical statistical principles and practice.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical skills particularly in the interpretation, statistical analysis and reporting of quantitative data.

The salary will be in the range of $59,620 - $62,156 (AO7.1- AO7.3) per annum.
