About the Role:

We are very excited to announce that Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and qualified individual to fill the position of Project Officer – Auslan Online Learning.

Your primary objectives will be to:

  • Manage the Auslan online learning systems and programs, including the development and formatting of resources and assessments. This role will have a strong understanding of the Auslan/Second language acquisition environment and challenges to develop innovative online programs to encourage greater participation in the programs.
  • Development and implementation of all theory and language online learning and assessment resources that map to the new training package.
  • Assess the equivalency/currency of current Moodle learning resources that can be mapped to the new training package.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualifications such as in education, adult learning or multimedia Or a suitable combination of lesser qualification and significant relevant experience; and the Certificate IV Training and Assessment; and a current Working with Children Check.
  • Experience formatting and publishing learning materials for adult learners using innovative technologies, including various learning platforms and web based content.
  • High level computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs; a sound knowledge and understanding of  Moodle or similar  online learning platform; Knowledge of video production application’s such as GoReact; YouTube; GoogleDocs.
  • Proven high level interpersonal skills to enable effective communication and liaison with internal and external key stakeholders.

Salary

The salary will be in the range of $68,898 - $73,958 (PACCT 6.1 – 6.3) pro rata, per annum plus superannuation.

Tenure

Fixed Term Contract, (until 1/7/2019) Part - Time 22.8 hours per week
