About the Role

We are very excited to announce that Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and qualified individual to fill the position of Printroom Supervisor.

 

 

Your primary objectives will be:
 

  • Manage and promote the provision of a high quality mono and color digital printing service to the Institute and external clients, using computerized printing technology.
  • Provide advice to senior management regarding profit and budgetary projections and technology requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright and other relevant legislation and Institute policies and procedures.

About You:


The successful applicant will possess the following:

Key Technical Competencies:

  • The successful applicant will have proficient skills and experience in running XEROX Printers, including: XEROX 800 (color), Nuvera 200 (BW), DT 125 (BW), Color management and setting up artwork for print.
  • Proficient skills and experience with equipment including the use of a guillotine, binding, saddle stitching and quoting.

Qualification, Licenses and Experience

  • An appropriate qualification in the use of high quality mono and color digital printing technology, specifically the latest model of Xerox computerized technology in use at Melbourne Polytechnic.
  • Experience in wrapping, packaging and the efficient delivery of goods complete with time management skills to ensure jobs are kept to the scheduled time frame.
  • Experience with budgeting and budget analysis to ensure the Printroom performs to maximum profitability.

Salary

The salary will be in the range of 59,620 (AO7.1) - $62,156 (AO7.3) per annum plus superannuation.

Tenure

Ongoing, Full - Time 38 hours per week
