About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Lecturer B - Business Information Technology within the Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Primary Industries. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with excellent subject knowledge.
 
Your position purpose will be:
 
In consultation with the Head of Program and consistent with approved curriculum documentation and Melbourne Polytechnic’s policies, work to consolidate and develop the Associate Degree and Bachelor of Information Technology.
 

About You:

 
The successful applicant will possess the following:
 
Key Technical Competencies:
 
  • Demonstrated record in research and publications such as major research monographs and/or edited books, articles in refereed journals, research reports or equivalent project based research
  • Good industry contacts and evidence of securing funding and/or other forms of support from external organisations for the conduct of research and/or consultancy projects
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge, concepts, understanding and skill to colleagues, clients, groups and individuals.
 
Qualification, Licenses and Experience
 
A completed PhD in a field relevant to Information Technology / Systems.
 
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to excellence in teaching and learning at the tertiary level.
  • Formal teaching qualifications, equivalent training or progress towards same.

Salary

Lecturer Level B with a salary range of $81,423-$96,686 per annum. Commencing salary will be negotiated according to qualifications and experience.
 
Superannuation is additional and Melbourne Polytechnic is able to contribute to UniSuper.
 
Note that service with publicly funded Australian Universities is recognised for long service and sick leave purposes.
 

Tenure

Ongoing, Full- Time 38 hours per week
