About the Role
We are very excited to announce that Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and qualified individual to fill the position of Learning Technologist, Banyule Nillumbik Tech School and Whittlesea Tech School.
Your primary objective will be to:
Work closely with partner secondary schools, community and industry partners to develop and deliver authentic learning programs that use technology to innovate and prototype. These partnerships will enable students to work with industry on real life problems and create exposure to cutting edge technology and ideas not available to students in their host schools.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Key Selection Criteria
- A degree or postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in education and relevant qualifications or workplace experience in a technology enabled field. Registered VIT qualification or the ability to undertake registration is required.
- High level knowledge and experience in safely and competently use a range of technologies including CNC machinery, microcontrollers, design and imaging applications, AV creation tools, 3D and virtual reality, social media and coding in either an industry or education context.
- A demonstrated ability to lead authentic contemporary STEAM learning design utilizing strategies such as; design thinking, inquiry, problem-based learning and gamification, aligning outcomes with curriculum standards and outcomes.
- Ability to design and deliver excellent learning opportunities for a range of audiences, including students, teachers, colleagues and industry and community members using a range of instructional strategies.
The salary will be $90,998 (SE2) per annum plus superannuation contribution.
