About the Role

We are very excited to announce that Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint an experienced, organised and qualified professional to fill the position of Executive Assistant to Deputy CEO and Head of People and Culture.

Your primary objective will be:

The position provides high level executive and strategic support to the Deputy CEO and the Head of People & Culture to ensure the effective running of both offices at Melbourne Polytechnic. The role plays a key connecting role and provides leadership and mentoring to Senior Management, Executive Assistants and other key stakeholders across Melbourne Polytechnic.

Please note: this position provides support primarily to the Deputy CEO but in addition will support and work collaboratively with the Head of People & Culture in performing a range of executive administrative tasks.

About You:

The successful applicant will have the following:

Key Technical Competencies:

  • Technology experience with various technology tools and software packages.

  • Attention to detail, excellent time management and the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks is essential to success in this role.

  • The ability to research new concepts in detail, understand how they apply in the environment and be able to provide critical anlaysis and consultation to the Deputy CEO and the Head of People & Culture.

  • The ability to build rapport, develop trusting relationships and maintain a high level of confidentiality is essential.

Qualification, Licenses and Experience

  • Relevant post-secondary qualifications and several years' relevant experience including at least three years as an Executive Assistant.

  • High level of energy and enthusiasm to operate in a fast changing and challenging environment.

  • Highly attuned to reading situations and using diplomacy, empathy and quick thinking to respond appropriately.

Please note that all short listed applicants will be required to undertake a variety of competency tests to demonstrate their ability to perform the role.

The salary will be in the range of $68,806 -$74,000 per annum plus superannuation.
