About the role

The Learning Skills and Assessment Unit at NMIT provides Language, Literacy and Numeracy Support in a wide range of VET Programs across the Institute. Numeracy support is often, but not always, in the trade areas.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for casual numeracy support teachers.
If you are a qualified numeracy/mathematics teacher, have a flexible approach and a positive attitude, we would like to hear from you.

About you

Minimum qualifications and experience required:

  • Certificate IV in TAE
  • Approved post-secondary qualifications in numeracy/mathematics
  • An approved course of teacher training
  • Teaching experience
  • A Working With Children Check

Desirable:

  • Understanding and experience of team teaching support principles
  • LLN Qualification
  • Working knowledge of the CGEA curriculum

Salary

Payment is at the rate of $64.31 per hour for Casual Teaching
