Thanks for registering to attend one of Melbourne Polytechnic’s Information and Enrolment Sessions. We look forward to seeing you on the day and discussing your study needs in greater detail. Below you’ll find important information and required steps you’ll need to take before enrolling:
Regardless of where you decide to study, there are some activities that need to be completed in order to meet government regulations. We recommend that you prepare yourself for study by completing the following activities online before you attend:
Create a Unique Student Identifier (USI) online, if you do not already have one
All students enrolling from 1st January 2015 will be required to obtain a Unique Student Identifier which will contain all your nationally recognised training records. It is free and easy for you to create your own.
Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment online
In order to assess your eligibility for VET FEE-HELP, you must present a Senior Secondary Education Certificate (Year 12) or be assessed as displaying ACSF exit level 3 or above in both reading and numeracy. This will be completed as part of the enrolment process.
Have you completed your e-form?
If you haven’t already done so, it’s important to complete your e-form application using the reference number included in the confirmation email sent to you after registering to attend.
Proof of Citizenship, Residency, Age and Concession status (Original or Certified copies only)
- Proof of Citizenship/Residency: (Current Green Medicare Card; Australian Birth Certificate; Current Australian Passport; or Naturalisation Certificate)
- Proof of Age
- Concession Card, if you have one: Find out more about Concession Cards
Tax File Number (if applying for VET FEE-HELP)
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) Documentation
Please bring along any official (original) documentation of educational prior learning along to the session. RPL is an assessment process through which you can gain entry or credit to a Certificate or Diploma, based on the skills you have gained through life, work experience and training (other than) nationally accredited training courses and programs.
If you are unable to attend, or require further assistance, please contact our Enrolment Advisor Team on 9269 8400.
Alternatively, you can book into an Education and Course Advice appointment through our Enquiry page.
Melbourne Polytechnic want to ensure you are enrolling in a suitable course. To help us determine your learning support needs, and depending on which course you are interested in, you will need to meet with either:
One of our Education and Course Advisor team members
- Someone from the School / Teaching Department responsible for the delivery of the course
Conduct a Pre-Training Review with you – where they will discuss your course options and selection with you
- Print out and provide you with a copy of a Training Plan – which outlines the individual units which your course is comprised of
You will need to bring both the Pre-Training Review and Training Plan with you in order to finalise your enrolment.
Please Note: Due to Limited parking option it is recommended that you use public transport when you are visiting Prahran and Collingwood Campus.
