WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE SESSION

Regardless of what you decide to study, there are some activities that need to be completed in order to meet government regulations. We recommend that you prepare yourself for study by completing the following activities online before you attend: 

  1. Create a Unique Student Identifier (USI) online, if you do not already have one

    All students enrolling from 1st January 2015 will be required to obtain a Unique Student Identifier which will contain all your nationally recognised training records. It is free and easy for you to create your own.

  2. Complete an International English Language Test System (IELTS)

    IELTS is the world’s most popular high stakes English language test, accepted for study, work and migration and is jointly owned by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

  3. Complete the Overseas Qualified Professionals Program Application form

    Download and complete the Overseas Qualified Professionals Program Application form and return via email.

  4. Have you completed your e-form?

    If you haven’t already done so, it’s important to complete your e-form application using the reference number included in the confirmation email sent to you after registering to attend.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU ON THE DAY

  1. Proof of Visa Status, Residency, Age and Concession status (Original or Certified copies only)

    1. Proof of Visa Status: Visa Grant Letter
    2. Proof of Age 
    3. Concession Card, if you have one: Find out more about Concession Cards
       
  2. Academic Qualifications, Resume and IELTS Result

    1. Qualification Assessment Letters (if available) and Academic Qualifications
    2. Resume
    3. IELTS Result (if you have completed the test)
       
  3. Download your Parking Permit and display on your dashboard if you are driving

    If you are planning to drive to your session, on campus parking is provided for free. Simply print, complete and display the below permit. If you are unable to do this, simply show this email to the Gatehouse or main reception upon arrival to obtain a permit. Please park within the designated student parking area, or visitor bays. Failure to do so will result in a parking infringement being issued.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT COURSE FOR YOU

Melbourne Polytechnic want to ensure you are enrolling in a suitable course. To help us determine your learning support needs, and depending on which course you are interested in, you will need to meet with either: 

  1. One of our Education and Course Advisor team members

    OR

  2. Someone from the School / Teaching Department responsible for the delivery of the course

Who will:

  1. Conduct a Pre-Training Review with you – where they will discuss your course options and selection with you
     
  2. Print out and provide you with a copy of a Training Plan – which outlines the individual units which your course is comprised of

You will need to bring both the Pre-Training Review and Training Plan with you in order to finalise your enrolment.

REVIEW COURSE FEES
