Skills Recognition at Melbourne Polytechnic

With prior work experience and qualifications you can fast track your next qualification in the trade areas above or other industry related areas such as OH&S

Anyone is entitled to apply for Skills Recognition (link) for previous work experience, skills, knowledge and training.  We offer onsite assessment and advice on gap training if required. 

Trade testing & Licensing

Melbourne Polytechnic conducts Trade Tests in the areas of welding, jewellery, fitting and machining for both:

We also offer Licence Trade Tests under the Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) guidelines. Melbourne Polytechnic is an authorised ESV Licence Assessor.

NMIT’s Engineering faculty conducts regular Licenced Electrician (Assessment) (LEA) – Tutorials and Assessments.
