Melbourne Polytechnic is building pathways and leveraging our quality courses to value-add for Health Care Insurance student experiences.
Melbourne Polytechnic and Health Care Insurance (HCI) signed a Memo of Understanding in August last year to develop a Health Innovation and Education Hub (HIEH). The establishment of the HIEH project brings together innovators and thought leaders from education, healthcare, industry and technology to solve some of the most pressing problems and needs of the healthcare sector.
This project seeks to enable the acquisition and transfer of knowledge in determining the capacity of our future healthcare systems and various sectors.
The HIEH project will change basic practices across health and education, engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration, implementing critical decision making, and translating recent research findings.
With this in mind, new technologies will tackle problems and build on preparation for health practices.
The Health Innovation and Education Hub opens avenues for our students in pathology to continue their training into nursing and provides expertise on working with Koori patients. The project also engages with industry and expands on learning opportunities, ensuring that Melbourne Polytechnic teachers stay in the know.
Excitingly, the hub will be co-branded as Melbourne Polytechnic continues to work with HCI and explore other prospects in health entrepreneurship and pathway development.
