Arrive at the testing venue by 7:45 am for registration.

You must bring your current valid passport – candidates without a current passport will not be able to be admitted to the test.

What to bring with you

We cannot emphasis enough that you check you have a valid passport with you. Make sure it is your own passport. Your passport must have an expiry date of at least 13 days after the test date to be considered valid. Unfortunately, we cannot accept photocopies or certified copies only the original passport.

If you bring any bottles of water, they must be clear with not labels or writing on them.

We advise you wear comfortable clothing.

Jackets will have to be cloaked, you cannot take them into the test venue, it is important to consider wearing layers of clothing like a cardigan so you can stay warm.

Prohibited Items & Secure Storage of Your Belongings

You will be required to checking all your belongings in the secure cloakroom. That means you won’t be allowed to bring any personal item into the examination room. Only your passport will be permitted. We apply this policy very strictly and absolutely no electronic devices of any sort is permitted.

Verification of Your Details

During the test day we will be verifying your details at a number of points. This means we will conduct a finger scan, take a photograph of you and check your details on your passport. Your details and photo will be printed on the Test Report Form.

Change of Details

It is very important that we have your correct details otherwise you will be refused entry to the test. You must contact us before the test day if for any reason your passport information changes eg you get a new one. On the test day you will need to bring both passports for verification.

Duration of the Test

Morning

The morning test session will commence at 9:00am and conclude at approximately 12:30pm.

Candidates arriving after 9:00am will not be permitted into the test room.

The morning session consists of three modules:

  • Writing Test – 60 minutes
  • Reading Test – 60 minutes
  • Listening Test – 30 minutes (plus 10 minutes transferring time)

Afternoon

Candidates individual speaking tests may occur in the afternoon session between 13:00 – 17:00 with an examiner.

  • Speaking Test – 11 to 14 minutes
