Determine your future in the trades

The VCAL is an accredited senior school completion certificate, and completion of this course will earn you the VCAL at Senior level.

The VCAL Ticket to a Trade program is for young learners who have not completed Year 12 and wish to develop their literacy, numeracy, personal and work related skills while experiencing different trades. Students participate in taster sessions in the building and construction departments. This will help you make informed choices about your future study path.

VCAL Ticket to a Trade can also be undertaken at Foundation or Intermediate levels.

Guidance for your career

VCAL will provide you with an opportunity to reengage with education. You will have access to a Student Pathways Advisor (SPA) and take part in trade workshops to help you decide which trade you would like to undertake in the future. Careers counselling will be an integral part of the program. Benefit from our expert teachers who specialise in working with young people and take full advantage of our strong connections with community agencies.
