The focus of the Certificate IV in New Small Business is for you to experience a program in e-commerce and e-marketing, providing you with the skills and knowledge to activate a new business.

Work with our industry experts and let them teach you the fundamentals of doing business in the e-world with a digital focus.

This qualification is suitable for small business managers who use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base to solve a range of defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

As a graduate, you may provide leadership and guidance to others, and ultimately have responsibility for the output of others.

Assessment includes written and oral activities and class based participation, innovative projects.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

You can seek RPL where your work or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. Academic Credit is granted on a case-by-case basis, according to our Academic Credit policy and associated procedures. Applications for Academic Credit will be assessed by relevant Melbourne Polytechnic academics and where appropriate, industry experts.

  • minimum age for entry into this qualification is 16 years. If you are under 18 your enrolment form must be signed by a parent or guardian

Once you have your Certificate IV in New Small Business, you may pursue a qualification in our Diploma of Business BSB50215, or consider a Bachelor of Business qualification
