A world first in Greengrocery
If you are just starting out in the produce trade, the Certificate II in Greengrocery provides you with hands on experience that will prepare you for a future produce career. You will learn to identify categories of fresh produce, learn correct storage procedures, learn to assist and communicate with customers and be knowledgeable around food labelling and Australian Food Standards.
Industry Connections and Resources
You will work closely with industry experts through a combination of workplace and campus classes, gaining first-hand experience in complete operations of greengrocery trade. If you are seeking work or already work in retail markets, supermarket fresh produce or fruit and vegetable retail operations, this course is for you.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
You can seek RPL where your work or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. Academic Credit is granted on a case-by-case basis, according to our Academic Credit policy and associated procedures. Applications for Academic Credit will be assessed by relevant Melbourne Polytechnic academics and where appropriate, industry experts.
