Employers benefit from hosting overseas-qualified professionals in work placements as a way to find fresh talent and to enrich their work culture.
Overseas Qualified Professionals (OQP) is currently accepting expressions of interest from employers in a range of professional areas such as:
- All sectors of information technology
- Architecture and design
- Business, accounting and administration
- Engineering: electrical, civil, mechanical, water and chemical
- Marketing and scientific research
Dates and duration of work placements are flexible, and placements can be arranged to suit specific business needs. Employers can offer placements to more than one participant, either at the same time or at different times during the year.

Melbourne Polytechnic OQP program at Melbourne Health – In December 2011, an agreement was officially signed between OQP, Melbourne Polytechnic and Melbourne Health agreeing to take on OQPs for work placement over a three year period.
