We need your support so young people with a disability learn what they need to get jobs and participate in their community
You CAN make a difference
The Work Education Department is seeking support for our students to enable them to fully participate in their TAFE course and achieve employment or other meaningful community engagement once they have graduated.
We are looking for interested members of the community to:
- fund scholarships
- contribute to project funds
- act as volunteer mentors for our students
The Work Education student group includes significant numbers from disadvantaged families and backgrounds who are unable to meet the tuition and other associated costs of studying at TAFE.
Why should you become involved?
Companies or individuals who get involved have the satisfaction of knowing they have contributed to the welfare, enrichment and future employment or activity options of a young person with a disability. They will be supporting increased community participation and diversity.
Many modern businesses have corporate social responsibility programs that aim to ensure they have a positive impact on and add value to their community in a strategic and sustainable way. These are the companies with reputations as good corporate citizens who deliver a triple bottom line. In many cases, they actively seek partnerships with community organisations that are working with disadvantaged members of the community to provide services or support that will enhance social inclusion and participation.
How can you make a difference?
You could consider *donating to our scholarship fund and help make a difference in a young person's life.
What is a scholarship fund?
*All donations are fully tax deductible
