Legal and Justice

Legal and Justice studies offer rich and rewarding career opportunities. Melbourne Polytechnic's courses give you a strong foundation in legal frameworks and systems, and real world experience with two-week practice placements.

Our courses equip you with strong administrative and clerical skills, and a thorough introduction to the law. Areas of study include legal administration and practice, preparation of complex legal documents, how to deliver court documentation, knowledge of the legal system, public records, confidentiality principals, legal terminology, trust accounts, the conveyancing process and much more. Students who complete our courses can work in specialised private and public legal offices.

Melbourne Polytechnic legal students complete a two-week practical placement towards the end of the course. On some occasions, students may then be offered full-time employment.
