Short Course

Overview

Preparation course for volunteer tutors to teach English to refugees and migrants. The course is delivered either entirely face to face, or with a partial online content option.

To become involved as a Volunteer tutor, please sign up at Melbourne AMEP's website.

This course is suitable for Anyone with fluent English, who has empathy and wants to help people

Upon completion, you will have the ability to become an English tutor with the AMEP Volunteer Tutor Scheme and work with a refugee or migrant for 1 hour per week to teach them English.

  • culture and communication

Transfers and Refunds

A refund or transfer is only possible if you apply at least 5 business days prior to the course commencing. A standard handling charge of 10% of the advertised course fee will be deducted from each refund. Requests for refunds or transfers made within five business days of the course start date will not be eligible.
