Fiona Blair

Fiona Blair has been teaching Music since 1987. Her qualifications include a Masters of Professional Education and Training (in Flexible, Online and Distance Education), a Bachelor of Education in Music, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Fiona's principal instrument is piano and she has had years of experience performing in pubs, clubs, and hotels and at corporate events in and around Melbourne and along the east coast of Australia.

Alongside teaching music at Melbourne Polytechnic, Fiona designs and develops online and off campus music units for the Performing Arts Department.

Over the last decade, Fiona’s passion for online education has seen her in many roles, including eLearning support, instructional design and development, Performing Arts teacher and higher education lecturer. Fiona has taught in the Bachelor of Music (subjects include Online Music Distribution & Instrumental Teaching and Ensemble Direction), the Advanced Diploma of Music and the Certificates III and IV in Music (subjects include Music Theory, Aural Training, Piano, Copyright for Musicians, Group Performance, and Performance Platform). 

Fiona also provides assistance to staff adopting the use of technology in education and develops web based platforms in SharePoint and Moodle.
