In 2014 NMIT will establish a presence in the Melbourne suburb of Prahran. This new campus will trade under the name Melbourne Polytechnic and will deliver both Vocational and Education and Training and Higher Education programs.

This position will be initially located at the Prahran Campus and will be dependent upon sufficient student enrolments.


About the role

Your primary objectives will be:

  • Co-ordinate teaching programs within the Health and Community Studies Department.
  • Provide educational leadership to staff and students within Health and Community Studies programs, and support operational activities around Quality Assurance, Fee For Service and Industry liaison.

About You

The successful applicant will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with:
  • Educational leadership skills to develop and implement programs in the institute, industry or within the community to provide teaching and program organisation which caters for the needs of the students, the teaching programs, and the institute.
  • A Degree or Diploma relevant to the Community Services and/or Health sector. A course of teacher training accredited at Australian Qualifications Framework level 5, which included supervised teaching practice and studies in teaching methodology; or equivalent. TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
  • Relevant industry experience in the Community Services and/or Health industry.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of programs and services, including fee for service opportunities.

$84,050 (SE1) per annum.
