Northern Lodge is one of Australia’s finest educational stock breeding properties. Our 320-hectare farm in the stunning foothills of Victoria's Great Dividing Range is just 40 minutes north of Melbourne.
As a student studying Viticulture courses and Agriculture courses you will have the opportunity to apply your learning in a real-life setting.
From grape to glass with viticulture
Our three-hectare vineyard at Growling Frog Golf Course was first planted by Melbourne students in 2004. The facility provides an excellent, real-world learning environment for Melbourne Polytechnic Viticulture students.
The vineyard produces Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. We bottled our first vintage in 2006 and have produced many award-winning wines since.
